Family Dog Fatally Shot In MD, Suspect At Large, Police Say

The Baltimore County Police Department is seeking answers after a family pet was shot and killed during an early morning incident involving an unknown assailant.

An alert was issued on Tuesday, July 25, as investigators continue to attempt to track down the person responsible for murdering Mowgli earlier this month.

The shooting was reported at approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, July 13 in the 4300 block of Flint Hill Drive in Owings Mills.

Police say that the dog's owner reported hearing a gunshot while he was off his leash, and upon arrival, officers found the dog suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

A reward of up to $2,000 has been offered by the department for information that leads to the gunman who shot and killed Mowgli.
